Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to respond to your message or process your donation.
- Donation form: first and last name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, phone number, email address, an optional comment, the donation amount, and whether the donation recurs. This information is stored as metadata on the Stripe payment record and included in the receipt email sent to you. A copy of the donation details is also emailed to our organization.
- Contact form: name, email address, phone number, subject, and message. This information is emailed directly to our organization and is not stored in a database.
- Admin accounts: staff who manage site content may sign in with an email address and password, or optionally with Google sign-in. These accounts exist only for staff administration purposes.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to process donations, send receipts, respond to inquiries, manage recurring donations, and maintain records required for tax and nonprofit reporting. We do not use this information for advertising or marketing purposes.
Payment processing
All payments are processed by Stripe. Credit and debit card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure payment form; this site never receives or stores full card numbers or payment credentials. Stripe's privacy practices are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
Email delivery
Donation receipts and internal donation notifications are sent through Gmail using our organization's email account. Contact form submissions are also sent via Gmail to the appropriate email address at our organization.
Cookies and local storage
This site does not use analytics or advertising trackers. We use browser local storage only to keep staff signed in to the admin area. When you visit the donation page, Stripe sets its own cookies as part of payment fraud prevention. Our site fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
Data sharing and retention
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers necessary to process donations and send receipts (currently Stripe and Gmail).
Donation records are retained for as long as necessary to comply with tax and nonprofit record-keeping requirements. Contact form emails are retained only as long as needed to respond to the inquiry.
Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we have about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@chaimtovimoutreach.org. We will respond to reasonable requests as promptly as possible, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records.
